Not a new catalog - just a new temporary category.  The website is always there, but we actually report for duty starting at 9:00 am US Central Time.  (14:00 in London; 15:00 in Brussels; 1:00 am in Sydney; 10:00 am in New York, etc.)  The sale will be the first category on the catalog category page.  It will say "UNAVAILABLE" until I post the new data, which I will try to do as close to 9:00 am as possible.  Once the data is uploaded, the new category will be available for your shopping enjoyment.

Hello!

I realized recently that upcoming shows, several previously scheduled "come and buy the collection" trips, and deadlines for other projects in the works will all conspire to create a bit longer pause in between catalogs than normal.  This may come as good news, as I also know that many of our regular customers have expressed a need to recharge their financial batteries before the next big catalog hits.  However, in the meantime we have devised a few smaller sales that will keep you from forgetting about us until Catalog #91 rolls off the assembly line later this spring.

I have cut prices on all the medals that we have in stock, and will have them available in a new special category on the website.  There will not be anything in this category until we open for business on Wednesday March 16.  After we open (assuming I can time the data upload properly), the label "UNAVAILABLE" will drop away, and that category will be open for business.  No fancy countdown clock this time, just an extra temporary category that will be deleted on March 20.

Email Orders Only Please
I have the folks who normally answer the phones working on other projects, so we will be conducting this sale by email only.

No Lay-Away on Sale Purchases
Sorry; we're making nice discounts, full payment for sale orders must be made within 10 days of purchase.

And.. at the risk of administrative chaos, we are doing something else on this sale:

Here is how this will work:
During Hurricane Katrina, a few 'people' and organizations pretended to be collecting $$ for disaster relief, which they actually just pocketed for themselves.  I do not want there to be any possible question about whether or not AGM really sent the $$ you spent on a Japanese medal on to the disaster relief fund.  SO, you will make the donation yourself, save the receipt, send it to us, and we will count that as payment for your medal.

For example -
Your order is for a $100 Japanese Medal, a $200 British Medal, and your postage is $5.  Total invoice is $305.  You would send us $205 (by whatever payment source you choose), and a receipt for your donation of $100 to the ARC Japan Earthquake Relief Fund.  That is the donation page.  You can also start at the beginning if you wish here: http://www.redcross.org/

After you make your online donation, the site will display a receipt page, and also send you a receipt by email.  You can forward that on to us, and we will count it toward your payment for any Japanese medal you reserved from the Medal Sale.

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past week, I don't need to spend any time here telling you how much our friends in Japan need help.  Yes, this is just a tiny drop in a tiny bucket, but every little bit adds up.  Whether you buy anything from our sale catalog or not, I would encourage everyone to send something - even just a few dollars or Euros.. if that means that there are a few less dollars or Euros in the collecting budgets to spend on the next AGM catalog, well - so be it.  They certainly need it more than we do.

Best regards,

Jeff Shrader
